Not like you should care, but....

Me:

As you may have guessed by now, my name is Shawn. I am a systems engineer that has been working in information technology for about 10 years. I have always tried to be fair and impartial with technology decisions. This means that I don't believe every manufacturer's press releases. I also don't work well with closed minded people. Generally, I try to base my solutions on facts and proven performance, rather than media hype.

All that having been said, I work well with others and can take "no" for an answer. I am not arrogant enough to say that I am correct all the time. I also don't have all the answers. However, I am sufficiently arrogant enough to say that I will find the correct answer and then make certain people acknowledge that fact.

I am also married, have one child, and am a registered Democrat. I also own guns and am a Catholic. There is something for everyone to love here...

My Thoughts:

Some of the views expressed in this site may not be the same as yours. Get over it. This section is where I will express my thoughts and views of current events and the like. That being said, here is a start:

I do not think that the country is in good shape, and I believe that is because of the current administration.
I do not think there is any reason for this country to concern itself over any other country other than our own. We represent 4% of the world's population and 20% of its economic power, yet we cannot feed our own citizens. Pathetic.
The fastest way to improve this nation's economic position is to create higher paying jobs, *NOT* reducing taxes. Really. If you are making more, you can afford to pay taxes.
Citizens of this great nation should realize that politicians aren't interested in fixing problems. They are interested in making us afraid of the problem and telling us who is to blame for the problem. They never, NEVER, present solutions.
There is no such thing as the liberal media.
Contrary to popular belief, President Clinton did more for the United States than the previous five administrations combined.
Not all Democrats are liberals.
Not all Republicans are morons.

It is possible to have your cake and eat it too.
